Steve Blackburn of ANU

Steve's work was on defining a framework for construction of persistent systems, and defining an interface that allows disparate programming language and storage systems to be brought together.

Jerry Vochteloo of UNSW

Jerry won the inaugural Lions Award for his work on the protection domain extension security mechanism in the Mungi operating system.
